i like this guy alot and i made a big mistake ? help ?

Okay so i really like this guy and he liked me too. but he lives two hours away so i dont get to see him alot. so we were both looking really forward to getting to see eachother on sunday because alot of us were meeting up . but then he couldnt go and i kissed another guy :S and he found out and was really annoyed with me cus he thinks i like the other guy and not him. i kept saying i was sorry and how i feel like crap .i told him i dont but he said ”well why would you go and meet someone you dont like?” but i actually do not like the other guy ! now when i try to talk to him to get things back to the way it was hes really off with me ….what should i do ? :S
