Notes

One of the easiest ways to say "I love you" is with a note. If you leave the house before your husband rises, leave a sticky note on the mirror that says how much I love you with your favorite things about him or maybe leave a note in his briefcase to let him know how much you care.

Letters

You've seen those movies where a women saved all of the love letters that her boyfriend wrote to her - you may even have a grandmother who did this exact thing! With today's modern technology, you probably take for granted the physical act of writing a letter. So, how about getting out a piece of paper and writing down how much you love your guy or gal in a letter?

3

Cook up a Meal

They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach; well, there is some truth to that statement. Prepare your guy's favorite meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner, even if it isn't your favorite dish - in fact, this will show how much I love you by showing you pay attention and care.

4

Go for a Walk

It's easy to get caught up in the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Take a moment to enjoy some uninterrupted time together by going for a walk. Hold hands, talk about things that you haven't spoken about in a while, or don't say anything at all. Sometimes, you just need to be together.

While the days of making mixed tapes may be gone, you can still create a mix of songs that show your loved one how you feel, even with digital technology. Make up a "love song playlist" on his iPod and include songs that will let him know how you really feel.

Breakfast in Bed

To me, there is nothing sweeter than breakfast in bed. What a wonderful way to wake up! Try making your loved one his favorite meal (see # 3) and serve it to him in bed. He'll be touched by your thoughtfulness and surely understand you're trying to say how much I love you.

A Room Filled with Love

Create a room of love for your significant other. While he's not home, scatter rose petals on the bed, cut out heart shapes from paper and scatter them about the room, or create garlands from them and hang them about. Light candles, set out chocolates and perhaps his favorite adult beverage. When he comes home, stand in the middle of the room in something "comfortable." He'll likely be blown away by your sweet actions.

9

Date Night

Everyone needs a date night every once in a while. When you're in a long term relationship it's really easy for life to get in the way. Every so often you need to have some couple time! Set up a night, it could even be a surprise, and have some time just the two of you. It could something as simple as a movie and/or a movie. Just make sure you two have some time to keep the connection alive.

Little Gifts

Have you ever been out shopping, saw something, and thought "(insert name) would definitely love this!"? Well why not buy that little gift? This doesn't have to be anything expensive, it could be something at simple as a mug or something like that. Your significant other will know that you're thinking of him/her and maybe will even return the favor and get you a gift.

11

Support Your Significant Other

If you're significant other is going through a tough time at work or in his/her personal life, make sure you're supportive. My boyfriend is stressed out a lot recently so I've been supporting him by keeping his mind off of work and things like that. All you have to do is be a distraction and listen while he/she vents. I'm sure it'll be appreciated.

12

Mail a Card or Letter

Here's a cute idea! Why not mail a letter or card to your significant other, even if you live together. Write a card or letter telling your significant other how much you love him/her and mail it. It will be such a surprise when they check the mail to find something from you! It's a sweet surprise to let him/her know you've been thinking they were on your mind.

Start Your Own Mini-Tradition

There are a million ways that people say "I love you" everyday. A lot of people make up their own mini-traditions as a way to say "I love you" to each other. Some couples give each other little compliments everyday to say what they love about the other. Then there are couples who kiss three times as a way to say "I love you." These are really cute ways to say it. Why not come up with your own?!

Keeping the love alive without actually saying "I love you" will let your significant other know how much you care. How do you say "I love you" without actually saying it? Is there anything that shows how much I love you that isn't on the list?

Hi how do i say it to him who is 9300 miles away? Thanks <3

@ suhaillahkheir my bf was 8000 miles away and is still long distance just a little closer and we skyped or FaceTime pretty much everyday. I send him packages with a letter inside and some kind of little gift or snacks whatever. I also send him random texts just to say I love you.

I love supporting my partner in crime :) I even leave him love notes under his windshield wiper.

The article's title refers to one's S.O., but the article makes repeated references to husbands and boyfriends. I wonder why the author assumes that no readers are in same-sex relationships. I'm not; I'm happily married. It just struck me as a bit odd.
