You Won't Share Your Number

Your magic number should be something that is personal to you, but a lot of people think that if you don't share it right away, you are a slut. Just because your number might be high, doesn't mean you are a slut at all! Your number is your number and nobody should ever make you feel bad about it!

UPD:

This text is an example of slut-shaming, which is a form of bullying and discrimination that targets people, particularly women, who are perceived to have engaged in sexual activities that are considered to be outside of societal norms. Slut-shaming is a form of gender-based violence and can have serious psychological and emotional consequences for victims. Slut-shaming is an example of how society can place judgement and stigma on those who choose to express their sexuality in ways that are not considered to be socially acceptable. It is important to recognize that slut-shaming is not only wrong, but also a form of discrimination that can have serious and long-lasting effects on individuals.

You Seek out One-Night Stands

A lot of people actually prefer to have one night stands. It doesn't mean that you are slutty, in fact, it just means that you like convenience. Sex is sex and everyone needs it, that doesn't mean that you have to be in a relationship to have it. Sometimes, a one night stand can even turn into a relationship!

UPD:

One-night stands are not necessarily a sign that someone is a "slut". In fact, many people choose to have one-night stands for a variety of reasons. For some, it may be an opportunity to explore their sexuality without the commitment of a long-term relationship. For others, it may be a way to fulfill a physical need without the emotional attachment.

One-night stands can also be a way to meet someone new. For those who are too busy to date or don't have the time to invest in a relationship, a one-night stand can be a great way to get to know someone without having to commit to them.

It's important to remember that while one-night stands can be a lot of fun, they should always be done safely and responsibly. It's important to practice safe sex, and to use protection to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. It's also important to be honest and clear about your expectations and boundaries before engaging in any physical activity.

Frequently asked questions

Some signs could include frequent casual sexual encounters with different partners, dressing in a way that's considered provocative by societal standards, and having a reputation for being easy or sexually permissive.

If you notice that people are judging you based on your sexual behavior, such as having multiple sexual partners or being open about your sex life, these could be reasons why some might label you as such. However, remember that these are often unfair and outdated labels based on double standards.

While some people might judge others as 'slutty' based on their clothing choices, it's important to understand that dressing in a certain way does not make someone a slut. Fashion and self-expression are personal choices and should not be linked to moral judgments about sexuality.

No, being open and positive about sexuality is different from the derogatory term 'slut,' which is often used to shame people. Sexual freedom is about choice and respecting others' choices, without attaching labels or passing judgment.

Girls may be unfairly labeled as sluts due to societal stereotypes and double standards that judge women's sexual behavior more harshly than men's. It's important to challenge these negative labels and support each other in expressing our sexuality in healthy, consensual ways without shame.

3

You Don't Go on Real Dates

From the research that I've done, a lot of people associate real dates and the lack of them with a slut. Well ladies, just because you don't go on actual dates doesn't mean you are a slut. Sometimes, you don't want to date a lot, but rather you want to hang out and see if you find a connection with someone. There is nothing wrong with that.

UPD:

It is important to remember that being a slut is not a bad thing. It is simply a term that is used to describe someone who is sexually active or has multiple partners. Being sexually active is not a sign of promiscuity, but rather a sign of being empowered and taking control of one's own sexuality. Additionally, it is important to remember that a person's dating style does not define their character. Just because someone does not go on real dates does not mean they are a slut. Everyone has the right to choose how they want to date and who they want to date.

4

You Invent Justifications for Having Sex Right Away

If you have sex on the first date or as soon as you meet someone, you are a slut. If you invent reasons and justifications about why that's okay, you're also acting slutty. It shouldn't be that way ladies! Just because you're having sex soon, doesn't mean you are a slut, it just means you like what you like. Just make sure that you're practicing safe sex.

UPD:

Having sex on the first date or as soon as you meet someone does not necessarily make you a slut. However, if you are inventing justifications as to why it is okay to have sex right away, it may be a sign that you are acting slutty. It is important to practice safe sex and to be mindful of your own boundaries. Slut-shaming is not okay, and it is important to remember that it is okay to enjoy sex without judgment. Everyone should be allowed to make their own decisions about when to have sex and with whom.

5

You Don't Remember Every Person You've Slept with

Just because you don't remember every single hook up that you've had, a lot of people believe that makes you a slut! Well ladies, I don't agree with this label. I don't agree that just because you might have made some mistakes or don't remember a few of the people you've slept with that it makes you a slut.

UPD:

The idea of a “slut” is an outdated and sexist concept, and is often used to judge and shame women for their behavior. This is especially true when it comes to women’s sexual behavior. It’s important to remember that the number of people someone has slept with is not an indication of their character or worth. Furthermore, it’s not fair to judge someone if they don’t remember every person they’ve been intimate with. Everyone has the right to make their own decisions about their sex life and it’s important to respect that. It’s also important to remember that slut-shaming is never okay.

You Hook up Whenever You Go out

In the past, it was very taboo to hook up even before marriage. Well ladies, times have changed and I think that if you hook up whenever you go out, that is your business. Nobody should tell you when you can or can't hook up!

UPD:

The acceptance of casual hookups has become more prevalent in modern society, especially among women. In a study conducted by the Kinsey Institute, it was found that 70% of college students have engaged in casual sexual encounters. This shift in attitude towards hooking up has been attributed to the rise of hookup culture and the normalization of sexual liberation. However, it is important to note that engaging in casual hookups does not define one's character or moral values. It is a personal choice and should not be judged by others.

7

You Dress Provocatively

Does this mean that if you show some cleavage or even just some leg you're a slut? No! At least, that isn't my opinion. Society has made it so that if you dress the wrong way, you could be construed as a slut. Ladies, I say that you should be able to dress however you want. What do you think?

UPD:

Fashion is an expression of your unique self and personality, and it's a powerful one at that. The clothes you choose are a personal choice, and you should never be shamed for showing your confidence through a daring outfit. After all, the hem of your skirt or the neckline of your dress doesn't define your worth or your character. It's time to challenge these outdated views and embrace the freedom to dress for ourselves, not the comfort of others. What's important is that you feel fabulous in your skin and your attire.

You do the Walk of Shame at Least Once a Week

Coming home the morning after a one night stand, wearing the same outfit from the night before doesn't mean you're a slut. Almost every girl has done it at least once in their life (even Carrie Bradshaw has done it!) and I gotta say, just because you do the walk of shame, doesn't automatically make you a slut.

9

You Have an STD

I'm sure that a ton of you have had this misconception about a girl that has an STD right? Well, what happens if the woman is in a committed relationship and the guy ends up cheating on her and she ends up with an STD because of that? Does that still make her a slut? Just because a girl ends up with an STD doesn't make her a slut!

10

You've Got a Never-Ending Supply of Condoms

Finally, the last misconception that a lot of people have when it comes to the '**you are a slut**' label is condoms. If you seem to have an endless supply of condoms, society will usually label you a slut. Well, to me, it's all about practicing safe sex!

Just because some of these are justifications for the '**you are a slut**' label, doesn't mean that the justification is true. Remember ladies, there is typically an explanation for everything and you should never slap that 'you are a slut' label on someone unless you know them. Has anyone ever said that you are a slut because of any of these reasons? Share how that made you feel, why you think other girls are slutty, or why you think the term itself is just totally unnecessary.

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I totally agree with you. Great definition!

I am inclined to agree with you about this article. Women should not be simply judged in a stereotypical manner. But I cannot condone some of the behavior that these type of women undertake. Having a one night stand every once in a while is one thing, but almost every night, that is a no, in my book. At this point it does not even seem like the women is looking for a relationship anymore. Although dressing provocatively has a thin line. On one hand there is sexy and on the other there is trashy, one can do it right it just takes practice. All in all, I do not believe women who act like this are sluts. To me a slut is someone who already has a partner, yet regularly cheats on his or her partner and is constantly using sex for their own personal gain. That is just my opinion though. I think you have raised some good points with article and it was quite an interesting read.

why should your future husband/booyfriend ever spend his time, attention and resources for bedroom fun when some Chad got it for free...

Youre just splitting hairs here. Most of these things pretty much mean that youre a slut, but theres nothing really wrong with being a slut, its a stupid concept and i challenge anyone who thinks differently to prove me wrong

I do

Please don't follow this article's advice. Sleeping around only leads to trust issues when you do want to have a serious relationship. Ladies, you are free to sleep with whoever you want, whenever you want, and as much as you want, but most men will be repulsed if you can't count your number on your hands.
