1

He’s Started Calling You Baby

While some guys do drop these names into casual conversation, it’s rare. Most guys save pet names for their girlfriend or a girl that they’re at least very interested in. It may not be “baby” but some other pet name. Whatever the term of endearment is, it’s a sign. It says he’s getting serious about you.

2

He Spends a Lot of His Free Time with You

If a guy is into you then he wants to spend time with you. He may still go out and shoot some hoops with his friends but the majority of his time belongs to you. He loves hanging with you, no matter what you’re doing. You could be painting your nails and he’s happy to be nearby. This’s a sign that he wants something more than casual friendship or dating from you.

3

You Text Daily

Do you text daily? If so then he may be moving toward something more serious with you. He wants a daily connection and that’s really sweet as long as it’s something you both want. If not then it’s a totally different situation. But if you want your relationship to move forward then all of these’re good signs.

4

He Knows Your Favorite Foods

If your guy knows your favorite foods and you know his then the two of you’re getting close. Yes, it could just be a close friendship. But if you’ve started dating and know this much about each other then your relationship is moving toward serious status. You may not have made that verbal commitment yet but it’s on the horizon. Enjoy each step of getting there!

5

He Wants You to Meet His Family

Yes, it’s possible that he just wants you to meet his family and it’s not getting serious between the two of you. But that’s not usually the case. If he’s taking you home to meet Mom then you’re in, girlfriend. My brother always said that not every girl is one you take home to meet the parents and I think that expresses how most men think. They only make the decision to introduce a girl to their family when they feel strong feelings for her. So take this as a sign things are turning serious.

Famous Quotes

Men in general judge more from appearances than from reality. All men have eyes, but few have the gift of penetration.

He’s Flirted with the Subject of Commitment

Has your guy mentioned the possibility of a commitment? Maybe he made a joke about dating exclusively or a random comment. If so, then there’s meaning hidden there. He may be fishing to see how you react. He wants to know if you have an interest in a serious relationship.

Intuition Tells You It’s Headed That Way

Intuition can be a better indicator than any of the other signs we’ve talked about here. When things are getting serious you just feel it. You have this feeling that your relationship is deepening. Intuition can be a woman’s best friend. It’s a good guide in almost any situation you encounter in life. It’s important to note it’s not always right but it is the majority of the time.

These’re 7 signs that your relationship is going from casual into serious. Do you see any of them in your relationship? I’d love to hear from you!

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I'm seeing this guy he does call me dear and we text a few times a week. We've talked abt just seeing each other but he hasn't committed to that. Not sure how much free time he has with raising 3 grown teenagers

I've been texting with this guy for about 9 months now. He texts me first everyday, we hangout often with group of friends although we have hangout out a couple times alone. Never kissed, hugged, etc. His parents tease him saying I'm his gf

Knowing yo favorites it’s nothing but a sign of respect are feelings coz that happens mostly when u are still dating

Sometimes some names are hard to be shortened and we use endearment tittles and to mean u out from many around

There is this guy who says he's in love with me, and we text about every other day. I've met his family and friends. But I don't like him or anything so he's just my friend but he keeps pushing for a relationship. How can I get him to stop?

Sorry but this list is a bit superficial, and like @Joyce said, most guys will do these things with no intentions of getting serious (more like getting into your pants lol). You'll know when things are getting serious when he wants you around his friends and family (which was mentioned in this article), when he values your "me time" and you his, when you both get to know each other on a deeper level (some convos may be uncomfortable to talk about, but the more you both open up, the more you'll trust and connect with each other), and when he respects your values and decisions and doesn't pressure you into things for self gratification!

I don't usually trust or even believe in these lists. But this is exactly how things happened with my now bf... Happiest I've ever been.

Guys I know (in Ireland, so maybe it's different in the states), wouldn't do these things unless they were serious about you - especially the family one

I think he likes me because he calls me bae, hot, cute. He has told me sweet things but now not much anymore.. I just wanted him to say it in my face but it doesn't seem like he ever brings it up so idk if this is all a joke.. What should I do ?? HELP
