1

Create a Scrapbook

One of the sweetest ways you can show your long distance boyfriend that you care is to create a romantic scrapbook of your relationship. Gather any mementos from your relationship such as photos, post cards, greeting cards, love letters and ticket stubs that you have. In the beginning of the scrapbook, write your first impressions of your guy and how your love story began. Add pages for anything related to your relationship such as inside jokes shared between the two of you, your favorite dates, funny moments of your relationship and special moments.

2

Send Photos

Take pics with your cell and send them to your boyfriend frequently. Take pics of the things you do during the day so he can get a glimpse of your life. Pics of you will help ease those "miss you" feelings he will have. Fuel his fantasies at bedtime by sending him some racy pics but leave some things to the imagination. If you are camera shy like I am, try to get over it because pics are an essential part of keeping that attraction burning.

UPD:

Sending photos to your long distance boyfriend is a great way to show him love and appreciation. Taking pictures of the things you do during the day can give your boyfriend a glimpse into your life and make him feel closer to you. If you are camera shy, try to push past that to send him some pics. Photos of yourself can help ease any feelings of missing one another, while sending him some racy pics can fuel his fantasies.

You don’t have to limit yourself to taking pictures with your cell phone either. If you have access to a digital camera, you can take more detailed and high-quality pictures to send to your boyfriend. Consider taking pictures of places that you visit or special moments that you have with friends and family. If you have a shared hobby, such as photography, you can take pictures of the same subject and compare your results.

Spend Time Together Online

Another way to show your boyfriend you care is to find ways to spend time with him online. Talking on messenger programs can become boring after awhile especially if it's hard to find topics to talk about. Try playing online games together that put you on the same team and also play games where you have to beat each other to win. Or another idea is to watch an online movie together. Your guy will enjoy hanging out online doing different things with you. One of the best things I did for my relationship is to buy a video game console so my boyfriend and I could play a variety of cool games while talking on a microphone.

4

Send a Care Package

Everyone loves surprise care packages in the mail and your boyfriend is no different. Send him things that will make him feel closer to you like a t-shirt or sweatshirt that smells of your favorite perfume. Buy a matching piece of jewelry such as a necklace or a bracelet and send him one. Or create a CD with love songs that remind you of him and send that too him. You could also send him a framed photo of the two of you. You really can’t go wrong as long as it's an item that he will enjoy and reminds him of you.

5

Love Letters

Since everyone uses text messages, e-mails and instant messaging to communicate, surprise your man with a love letter. Pick up some cute stationary and write him a love letter. Tell him the reasons why you love him and how much he means to you. Or another cute idea that will melt his heart is to send him a love letter but put it in a glass bottle.

Keep Him Warm

Personalize a fleece blanket with a special message for your man. Create a fleece-tie blanket or purchase a fleece blanket in your boyfriend’s favorite colors. On one side of the blanket, write a message to your boyfriend such as "I love you" or "Miss you" using contrasting colors of felt. He will feel closer to you when he cuddles with his blanket when you aren’t there.

7

Gift Basket

Another popular idea for a long distance boyfriend is to send a gift basket custom-made with the things that he likes. Depending on your man’s preference, there are various possibilities such as a basket of gourmet chocolates or cookies if he has a sweet tooth. Or maybe a gift basket filled with DVDs in his favorite movie genre with some finishing touches such as different flavored popcorn and his favorite theater-style candy. Or satisfy his munchies with a basket full of snacks such as summer sausage, roasted peanuts, cheese spread and caramel corn.

8

Weekly Surprise

Send your boyfriend little trinkets that remind you of him or your relationship. You could send him funny greeting cards, books, key chains or sports memorabilia. Send him a different item every week so he never knows what to expect. It’s a really awesome way to let him know that you are thinking of him even though he isn’t there.

9

Surprise Visit

While care packages and whatnot are great, have you ever thought about just completely surprising him with a visit? Call him when you are at the airport or even just drive down to wherever he is. This is a fantastic gift and it'll be the best surprise ever!

10

Love Texts

Text messages are an important part of any LDR, which means that if you are sending lengthy love texts, he'll completely know that you care about him and that you love him! Send him poems that are your favorite or even song lyrics!

11

FaceTime Him

Ah, FaceTime is something that is a life-saver for any long distance relationship and this is a fantastic surprise for any boyfriend! FaceTime him and see what happens!

12

Homemade Gifts

Long distance relationships aren't made up of homemade gifts all of the time because you aren't in the same place, but if you bake something specifically for him, why not send it to him? It's an awesome touch!

13

Share Songs That Remind You of Him

Another great way to show him that you love him is to send him some awesome songs that are just between the two of you and that describe your relationship! He can listen to them and think of you!

14

Have a Ritual

Whether it's saying good morning to him when you wake up or saying good night when you're going to bed, you'll give him the sense that he's close to you. It'll become something that he looks forward to everyday, making the whole "missing you" thing just a tiny bit easier. Do you have a little ritual? Something you NEED to do everyday?!

15

Share a Journal with Him

This is a really cool take on the whole love letters thing. Buy a journal and write in it daily for a few weeks. Then, send it to him. He can read it, add on to it, and send it back to you. You can include cute little drawings, photos, etc. in them. It's a cool way for the two of you to feel connected because you're sharing this!

16

Share a Special Ringtone

If you guys have a "special song," use it! Set it for your significant other only. That way, every time you hear it, you know it's him. It's a little thing but it'll bring you guys comfort!

17

Plan a Vacation Together

Even if you guys plan visits to each other, how romantic would it be to just get away from both locations and go somewhere new together? Meet up in a different country or state. That airport reunion is sure to be epic! Or, instead of flying/driving all the way out to each other, how about meeting in the middle? Wherever that might be!

When you are in a long distance relationship, it’s the little things that can mean so much to a guy. Your boyfriend will love that you did something special for him. Ladies do you have any other ideas that will put a smile on your boyfriend’s face?

Nice article! I spend time with him online too but we frequently plan how we can meet during the year. So far so good :D ... I also send him gift baskets with baked goods, I see him eating them while we chat, he says he eats them when he misses me ( looks like he has put on some weight lol). I'll definitely try the other ideas! Thanks

I love posts on long distance relationships. Cos ive been one fr 17mths now & counting. My bf from wisconsin & im a singaporean. 9272 miles, 13 hrs difference. Of course like any other rltnship; its gotta be effort, ups&downs, sacrifices and most importantly brings joy to you n your partner. :) wevenever met except fr on skype dates. But this works well fr us. Staying on viber fr 13 hours somedays, kik each other everyday and night, having each other friends and relatives on facebook, planning the future cos life is about dealing w responsibilities. All i can say, if youre with a man in an ldr and hes for keepsake, then youre on the most beatiful interesting journey of your life. Its all worth it. I feel it in my bones. Cheers to all ;)

Some of these are a bit creepy..

pls help. what gift i can give to may bf for his b-day and were ldr :)

Good article. Please let me share my LDR story. 9 years ago, I met a guy in Ohio. I was an exchange student from Thailand and he's from Michigan. We worked a summertime job together. One day, my friend told me he liked me then I started noticing him and liked him more and more when we were spending time together. Unfortunately, I left as I had to go back to my country to finish my degree while I never told him that I liked him too. We communicated through emails and online chatting later and told how we were feeling towards each other. I kept sending him love letters and pictures very often. One year later, he told me he's been seeing a girl and thought our LDR didn't work. He didn't love me anymore but did still care for me. We have still continued to be friends after that. He finally got married with the girl after they'd been together for 4 years. I'd moved to the US about a year before they got married. A year after he's married, he got a daughter, and 2 years later (last year), he was proceeding a divorce. I feel so sorry for him. and well, we now get back together in LDR since October last year, but this time is a closer one. He said he learned a lot from his marriage and grew up enough to come back to me this time. He now lives in FL and I'm Boston. We both still keep a room in our hearts for each other and I forgive him. Last month was a wonderful month because we had a chance to meet up again. It was so amazing how we still feel the same. People say we both look happy, and yes definitely, we are. This time we won't make our LDR longer than a year since we know what we want and we are much closer than before, also with better technologies that keep us communicated all the time. My love may sound so complicated but it is amazing. I forgot the past and start a new beginning with the same man. Now, we are moving forward and have a great outlook together on our lives. So, keep your faith strong.

I met my boyfriend in university and we seem to argue so much now that we are far away from the summer. I just don't know what to do it seems as though I've tried everything.

how do you get your boyfriend not to love you so much for your body?

My boyfriend and i have been in a ldr for almost 6 months now and i've done some of these. He always loves them so much :)
