How to Deal πŸ“” with the Difficulty of Rejection πŸ™ ...

Rejection. It’s one of the worst feelings, especially when that rejection is coming from someone that you cared a lot about. If a potential significant other has recently rejected you, chances are that you aren’t feeling great right now. You’ll start to feel great again, though. It just takes time, and a few of the items on this list. If you’re trying to move on and feel better again, follow this list to completely remove yourself from the situation and feel stronger!

1. Go on a Social Media Purge

(Your reaction) Thank you!

First of all, you need to go on a social media purge, especially if you’re someone who spends a lot of time on social media. Unfollow or hide them on any social media accounts, and unfollow different people who remind you of the person who rejected you. It will only make dealing with rejection even worse if you’re constantly seeing reminders of that person right in front of your face!

2. Make a Playlist to Distract Yourself

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Music is really good for distracting yourself! Of course, you’ll want to make a playlist of sad songs. Let yourself listen to it for a day or two, and then create a playlist of happy songs that will help you move on. The more you’re listening to uplifting songs, the less you’ll spend time thinking about your rejection!

3. Find a Mantra

(Your reaction) Thank you!

I know this sounds cheesy, but you’d be surprised just how much a good mantra or a few good words or a quote that you love can help you move on. Keep it somewhere you’ll see it. When you start to get upset about your rejection, think of that mantra. It will immediately lift you up and get your mind off of it!

4. Remain Hopeful for Someone else

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Even if there isn’t someone else in your life yet, remain hopeful that someday someone will be there, but in your own time. Sure, you may not have anyone right now, but sooner than later, someone else will come into your life. Stay hopeful that someone will come into your life!

5. Channel Your Energy into Something else

(Your reaction) Thank you!

You’ve probably spent a good chunk of your time channeling your energy into this person. Now that they’re not in your life anymore, take the energy that you used to channel into that person and channel it into something else instead. Find something you love and want to work on and put all of your energy into it! It will make moving on so much easier!

6. Stay Busy to Keep Your Mind off of It

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Staying busy will make your life so much easier. You won’t spend as much time wallowing if you’re constantly doing something else. Go out to lunch with your best friends, see a movie, go to a concert, do anything that doesn’t involve you sitting in your room feeling sorry for yourself!

7. Talk to Someone

(Your reaction) Thank you!

You can’t keep this all building up inside of you or you’ll go crazy. Go to your friends and talk to them about what you’re going through. Getting it off of your chest will make moving on that much easier, I promise!
