Firstly, forgive that heteronormative title – not my idea, y'all. Love knows no gender, after all, whether it's platonic, romantic, or somewhere in between. Someone can be your person if they're your lover, your spouse, or your best friend. It can be a man, a woman, someone anywhere on the binary because regardless, the thing is that you love your person deeply, wholly, and without reservation. So, no matter who your person is, whether it's a girl, a guy, or someone somewhere in the middle, here's how you let that lucky, lovely somebody know how you feel.

Long looks, smiles, hugs, kisses – all excellent ways to admire someone.
Keep Your Promises
Being reliable is another way to make your person know how you feel. Always keep your promises. Prove that your person can lean on you, too.

Have Some Understanding
Understanding is such a simple thing, yet it's so hard to come by. Give that to your person.
Let Your Person Know S/he Understands You
You're deserving of understanding, too – and when your person really is your person, s/he will understand you in return. However, you have to say so. Don't be coy about it, let this wonderful individual know how open you really are.
Share Serious Quality Time
Obvs. This is crucial for any relationship.
Laugh Together
So is this. Once you stop laughing together, what do you really have?
Leave Love Notes
Love notes, friend notes, funny notes – leave notes. Communicate. Keep things fresh.
Go on Little Dates
Remember, not every date has to be some big production. The little jaunts are just as joyous, if not more so.
Say It Loud and Proud
Well, obviously, being upfront about how you feel is always the best option.
Or Just Look at Your Person
Because your eyes will give it away every time.
Tag your person! That's also an option. Tag your person and s/he'll have to know.
