You can talk to a huge crowd, but not to a man you have noticed. Already, you have him on a pedestal. The man is not a God.
Simply give an introduction to get the ball rolling. Say, "Hello. I am so-and-so. I see you all of the time. I just wanted to introduce myself." If things proceed, good. Get to know each other. Show the real you. If things proceed, the person is going to see the real you anyway. If the person does not like you, forget him.
Instead of being on a pedestal, treat the person like a buddy. Approach the person you are interested in today! What can you lose?
