9 Indoor Dates That'll Keep You Two Safe from the Summer Sun ...

By Holly

It's fun to go to the beach or chill in the pool with your partner, but you won't always be in the mood to get blasted by the sun. Sometimes, you'd prefer the AC to the UV. That's why it's important to have some indoor date ideas to try. Here are a few that'll keep you safe from the summer sun:

1

Visit a Planetarium

It would be sweet to watch the stars at night, but there are way too many bugs out at this time of year. If you're worried about mosquito bites, try going to a planetarium instead. That way, you won't end up itchy, and you won't have to stay up super late either.

2

Go Bowling

You don't need a group of friends to go bowling. It can be just as fun when it's just you and your partner. That way, you can have a competition where the loser gets to pick where to eat (or where to make love). It'll make sure that you're both on your A game.

3

Try out Karaoke

If you're old enough to drink, go to a karaoke bar so you can dine and then shine on stage. If you pick a romantic duet, it's a great way for you two to show each other off. Everyone in the room will be jealous of what a cute couple you are.

4

Get Tickets for a Comedy Club

Everybody loves a good laugh. Even if your favorite comedian isn't coming to town anytime soon, there's bound to be a few amateurs around. Even though they haven't hit it big yet, it doesn't mean that they aren't funny. They could be a rising star.

5

Book a Hotel

If you're sick of dealing with your family or roommates, then you can book a hotel room to hang out inside of. You don't need it for an entire week. You can just book it for a night and have a romantic dinner inside of it. They might even have an indoor pool, so you can take a dip without exposing yourselves to the heat.

Head to the Movies

This is one that everyone thinks of, so make sure to buy your tickets in advance. You don't want to miss out on a good movie because a bunch of other couples beat you to the theater. Buy your tickets online and save yourselves the trouble.

7

View an Art Exhibit

It doesn't matter if you visit the MET or if you go to a local art exhibit that no one else has heard of. Either way, you'll be able to look at beautiful paintings and discuss them with your partner. You could actually learn a lot about each other there, since art can be interpreted in so many different ways.

8

Go Dancing

You can go to a club and dance to techno music, or you can go to a dance class and learn how to salsa. It depends on what you're interested in and how much you're willing to spend.

9

Stay at Home

You don't have to leave the house to go on a date. You could snuggle up on the couch together and watch a movie. You could break out an old board game and challenge each other. You could just make-out until it's time to leave. The possibilities are endless.

You don't want to harm your skin from the heat, which is why it's best to stay inside on some days. What's the best date you've ever been on indoors?
