1. Familiarity Can Be a Bad Thing

Familiarity can be a bad thing and marriage breeds familiarity. While the blessings of marriage are numerous, when you get too familiar with each other, the mystery dies. One reason you need to continue dating after marriage is to keep some mystery alive. Take time on your dates to really talk to one another and share things your partner may not know about you. Share your hopes and dreams when you have that special time alone, as well as the things you never really get time to talk about in daily life.

2. It Adds Excitement

Dating keeps an element of excitement in your marriage. It is fun and keeps things happening for the two of you. It gives you something to look forward to and allows you to have the fun that comes with dating someone. The only difference is that you have a closer relationship with your date. You will find that you look forward to your dates and enjoy the excitement they bring to your marriage.

Frequently asked questions

3. Children

Yep, that one word says it all. Although you love them to pieces and can’t even begin to remember what life was like before they came along, the fact is that children can drain you. When you have children, it is very easy to get in such a parenting mode that you forget about being in a couple mode. Dating after marriage helps you stay connected as a couple. It is also one of the best things you can do for your children because it helps them to have happy parents.

4. Prevent Roommate Syndrome

Roommate Syndrome can set in when you live with someone and don’t invest in your relationship. Basically, you can get to a point of feeling like you are roommates and nothing more. Dating after marriage prevents you from feeling like that. It helps you to keep the romance alive. It gets you out of the rut that Roommate Syndrome can cause.

5. It’s Fun

Dating is fun, both before marriage and after it. Why should the fun of dating end just because you get married? The truth is that it shouldn’t. So go out and have fun together. You married each other because there was no one else that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with. It only makes sense that you want to have fun together.

6. It Gives You Your Romance Fix

We women want to be romanced all of our lives. Many couples let the romance die when they get married. There is no reason to allow that to occur. Dating after marriage is a great way to keep the romance alive between the two of you. Who knows, your date just may show up with flowers the next time you have a date.

7. Think of It as Marriage Insurance

Think of dating after marriage as a marriage insurance policy of sorts. Dating is really an investment in your marriage that can pay off big time. Dating after marriage makes for a happier couple. When you are both happy, your chances of success in marriage are much higher. This is a great way to make your marriage better and have a good time in the process.

The reasons listed that you should continue dating after marriage are very strong but there are more, I am sure. What would you add to the list? Why do you think it is important to continue dating after marriage?

So....cheating?

This is the most rediculous thing. It's call a marriage as in loyal devotion to your partner. As your saying your cows your promising to be with that man and only that man. That's the point of marriage. The difference between single life and being a I don't know LOYAL partner. If the romance dies out completely I'm guessing you married the wrong person in the first place

GREAT advice to all those married couples out there!! Much Love to you & thank you for sharing <3
