You are the kind of girl that is so busy on a day-to-day basis that whenever you go in to your email account, your unread messages are well in to the three figure category, sometimes even bordering on four figures! If you can’t take the time to reply to that simple request from a co-worker, how can you possible find the time to get out to a bar to potentially meet somebody?

Even though you don’t necessarily love being single, you find that your mind is always primed and ready with an excuse not to accept a request for a date. Perhaps you are too busy with work, perhaps you are too busy with friends, or perhaps you just have a number of prior commitments, but the fact is that you are just too busy to be going on dates at such short notice!

It might be that you have a very taxing job, or it might just be that even though your job isn’t particularly high stakes, you still give it 110% every day. Whatever the reason is, there is no denying that you get home at the end of each day and you are physically and mentally exhausted. The last time I checked, physical and mental exhaustion where not the two things at the top of the “I’m ready to go out on a date” check list!

You have that kind of job where there is a chance that you could be called upon at any time of the day or night. Your work requests are always really important and ones that you cannot ignore, so you stay away from the dating scene to avoid any awkward instances where you might have to leave half way through the evening.

With your work, your friends, your hobbies and your family taking up more time than you already have to give in a week, you cannot possibly envision a change in scenario in which you could make time to have a boyfriend - not even the most casual of boyfriends that you only see a couple of times a week!

You have the kind of career that sees you whisking off to all corners of the globe on a regular basis, and the fact that are never in the same place for more than a couple of weeks means that your lifestyle just does not cater to having a long-term boyfriend. For now, at least.

The truth is that real love sometimes doesn’t come from those forced dates that you try to fit in between the rest of your busy schedule. You can’t arrange love and chemistry like you can arrange board meetings, so be patient, and perhaps think about taking a different approach.

If you want to find love, or allow it to find you, you need to invest some time and effort. If you really want to escape from singledom, it’s time to look at your priorities.
