Men Want to Be Respected

Among the things guys wish women knew about them, the most important is, in my opinion, the fact that they want to feel respected by their partner both privately and publicly. Shaunti Feldhahn, the author of “For Women Only: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men,” said that “men would rather sense the loss of loving feelings from their wives than to be disrespected by them,” and so his research indicated. Well, that’s understandable ‘cause everyone wants to feel respected whether they’re a woman or a man.

2

Men Are Insecure

This may come as a big surprise for you but guess what? Men feel insecure and vulnerable too. Apparently, for men, affirmation from the women they love is everything! And studies show that, if they don’t receive that affirmation from their wives, they will seek it elsewhere; so make sure you show him how proud you are of his both professional and personal accomplishments and compliment him a little bit from time to time. He will feel more confident and secure about the things that happen in his life.

3

Men Want More Sex

Well, I can pretty much imagine your reaction when you’re reading this, but even though you may think men want more sex because of their much stronger physiological needs, Shaunti Feldhahn's research showed that “the reason men want more sex is because of their strong need to be desired by their wives.” Apparently, this is another area where men feel insecure too, so I think they want to feel wanted, basically, and like they still got it. If that makes your man happy, just give it to him, it will help improve your intimacy too.

4

Men Struggle with Visual Temptation

I know most of you get upset if you catch your man looking after other women while walking down the street, holding hands. And you should be because it’s very disrespectful, but apparently research shows that, in fact, men really struggle with visual temptation and that sometimes even the most faithful husband or boyfriend can’t avoid looking at an extremely attractive woman who dresses in a very provocative way, drawing attention to her perfect body. So, maybe it’s not entirely their fault…

UPD:

It's not to say that this is an excuse for ill manners or that it justifies disrespectful behavior, but it does hint at biological instincts that science suggests are stronger in men. It's important for both partners in a relationship to understand this challenge and address it with open communication. Being aware and respectful of each other's feelings can go a long way. Remember, it's not about blind acceptance; it's about mutual understanding and working together to foster trust and respect in the relationship.

5

Men Care about the Way You Look

I know that most men would never admit that in fact they do care about the way their wife or girlfriend looks, but research has shown that this particularly insignificant aspect has a rather big importance to them. They want their special lady to look good and take care of herself, so that they can make other men jealous. Also, you must know that they really appreciate all your efforts and all the hard work that you put in to look amazing every single day.

They Feel the Burden of Being the Provider

Maybe this is not such a big deal for you, but apparently every man feels this incredible emotional burden of providing for his family and for his loved ones. He wants to feel that he’s able to take care of you and your future kids, so this thing can often make them feel trapped. You should encourage and support your man and you definitely shouldn’t forget about letting him know how much you appreciate all his efforts and all his hard work.

7

Men Enjoy Romance

I know that there are a lot of stereotypes that support the idea that men are emotionally numb, but as all the other very famous stereotypes and prejudices are, this one couldn’t be more false either. Apparently, men quite enjoy romance but they doubt their skills to be romantic. So, you should try to increase your man’s confidence in his romantic skills and not criticize him if his romantic surprise didn’t turn out as planned. Hey, at least he tried, and maybe next time, he will get it better. After all, you should appreciate his efforts and his intentions, so don’t be too hard on him. He’s inexperienced with this matter!

I’m sure that there must be a lot of other quite simple things men wish women knew about them, things I haven’t mentioned in this little article. So, can you give me a hand and tell me what other things guys wish a lot more women would learn about them? Please share your thoughts and experience with us in the comments section!

Who says men are the only provider? God I hate gender roles, not digging this article

I find this article a bit irritating, I dislike how women were made to sound with these \'facts\'. Not feeling the equality.

This post is ridiculous. Talk about a backwards view!! We are in 2013 - so much for equal rights!!!!

I keep hearing men and guys say they want a woman who doesn't stress over what she looks like. Then why do they constantly *talk* about how we look or what their friends think of us? Say what you mean...either say you want us to worry about our looks or don't. Also, why is it that some of the men who are most critical of our looks don't do anything about their own? I had a boyfriend who would make "jokes" about excess weight or shaving my legs, but it was okay for him to have a beer belly and not shower for two days. Thank God I'm now with a man who doesn't have to "posture" like that.

Some of this stuff is pretty obvious

So men are human...and therefore experience human emotions? Who would\'ve thought!

I understand equality, but when you are in a long to relationship you begin to understand the little extra you put in. I may not always dress to the 9s and fix my hair, but letting someone know you are trying to look good for them can really make their day. We all love when our men put on suits, why not put in a little extra effort sometimes?

It reminds me how to remind my man how important he is to me and how much I want him to be happy

So true !!!
