Even if you're completely in love with your perfect partner, there are things you should do for yourself, and not for a man. You're in control of your mind and body. You should never do something simply to impress a man, or to make him like you more. Here are a few things you should do for yourself, because you truly want to, and not to benefit your man:
1. Exercise to Look Hot
It's important to exercise and eat healthy, but you want to do it for the right reasons. You should do it in order to feel good about yourself, and to stay alive for as long as you can. If you're doing it to keep your man from leaving you, then he's not worth your time. He should be with you for your personality, not your looks. There's nothing wrong with working for a set of abs, but it's one of the things you should do for yourself.
2. Shave to Please Him
Some men like their women completely hairless, and while they're entitled to their opinion, you should only do what makes you comfortable. Don't allow a man, or the media, convince you to do something that you don't want to do. You're in charge of your body, so you're the only one allowed to make decisions that affect it.
3. Shop for a New Wardrobe
You don't need to buy lingerie if you'll feel self conscious while wearing it. You don't have to buy short skirts if you prefer sweatpants. Wear what you want to wear. The right guy will think you look gorgeous no matter what.
4. Kiss when You Aren't Comfortable
If you want to make-out with a guy, go crazy. But you should never get intimate with a man, because you think you owe him something. You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. If he pushes you to do something, then push him away. He's not worth your love.
5. Share His Every Interest
If you're in a relationship, it's nice to watch the shows that your boyfriend watches. However, you shouldn't force yourself to watch every soccer game, even when he's not around, because you know he wants you to do so. He'll understand if you're not interested in the same things that he loves. He'll appreciate you watching the game with him, but he won't expect you to become as obsessed as he is.
6. Cook His Meals
If you absolutely hate stepping into the kitchen, don't succumb to the belief that women have to be excellent cooks. While it's helpful to know how to use an oven, you don't have to learn new skills to please your man. Of course, it would be beneficial for you to be able to whip up dinner for yourself, so a cookbook wouldn't hurt.
7. Buy a Pet
If your man wants to add a pup to the household you share, or even a child, make sure that you're personally ready for the responsibility. You don't want to take care of another being, just to make your partner happy. You have to make sure that a new member of the family is something that you both want.
While it's nice to do special things for your man, you shouldn't change your life in order to please him. Have you ever been pressured to change by a partner?
