7 Words You Need to Use with Your Boyfriend in a Healthy Relationship ...

By Holly

In a healthy relationship, you need to discuss certain things with your partner. If you don't, then your relationship could crumble, and you'll end up without them. But when you care about someone enough, you'll do whatever you can to keep your bond strong. If you want to maintain a healthy relationship, then you should never forget the importance of these words:

1 Appreciate

You might think your kisses are showing him how much you care about him, but that's not always the case. It's always nice to hear that you're appreciated. So the next time that he buys you dinner or washes the dishes, tell him that you appreciate it. A simple thank you can go a long way, and can make sure that you remain in a healthy relationship.

Make sure that you tell him what you like, whether you're discussing your bedroom activity or your movie preference. If he doesn't know what you like, then he'll be unable to make you happy. You have to let him know where you stand.

3 Trust

You have to trust that he won't be unfaithful. You have to trust that he'll make the right decisions when it comes to his career. You have to trust that he'll treat you right for as long as you're a couple. Trust is a key factor to any relationship, and without it, it'll be difficult to stay together.

4 Understand

Even if you don't agree with what your partner is saying, tell him that you understand where he is coming from. It's important for him to know that you can see why he is feeling the way that he feels, even if you feel a totally different way. By doing this, you should be able to have a mature conversation and resolve whatever issue you're dealing with at the time.

5 Compromise

When you both want to watch a show at the same time, you'll have to come to a compromise. If you start small, by learning how to negotiate over small things like TV time, then you'll be able to work out bigger issues in the future. You don't want one person to always get their way, or it'll cause resentment. You have to find a way to keep both parties happy.

6 Future

You may not be ready for kids now, but you should discuss what you're expecting your future to hold. Even if you seem like a perfect couple right now, you may want different things in the future, which means you're not meant to stay together forever. It's important to figure out what you both want, so that you can see if you'll be able to last.

7 Love

Make sure that you tell him how much you love him. Even if you're already married with children, it's important to say those three words. Just because he knows how you feel about him doesn't mean that you get to stop reminding him. Never stop saying "I love you" for as long as you feel that way.

If you really care about your partner, then you'll do whatever you can to make sure your relationship stays strong. It's hard work, but it'll be worth it if they're the right person for you. How long have you been with your mate?
