1. Have a Picnic
If you're looking for some fun date ideas, one that you should consider is going on a picnic. Having a picnic is one of my favorite things to do with my husband. It's also very inexpensive. There are several different places to have a picnic. You could head to a nearby park or you could even have one in your yard. If the weather is bad, you could have a picnic in the comfort of your living room floor, as well.
2. Go out for Coffee
Do you enjoy coffee? If so, perhaps you could go out for coffee, instead of going out to dinner. You could go to a coffee shop or to a local fast food restaurant. As you sit and sip your coffee, you will be able to talk and enjoy each other's company. If you're not a coffee fan, maybe you could have a cup of tea or another beverage that you enjoy.

3. Watch a Matinee Movie
There are several advantages of seeing a matinee movie on your date. The biggest advantage is that you will save money. The theater should be less crowded, as well. This will make it easier to get tickets for the movie you are wanting to see. Many theaters also offer discounts on popcorn and drinks during a matinee, so you can take advantages of those offers, too.
4. Cook Together
If you typically dine out on your dates, consider cooking with your partner. This can be very fun. If you've never eaten anything that they've prepared before, this would be a perfect opportunity to do so. If you don't know what to prepare, let them choose one item and you can choose something to go with it. If you want a romantic atmosphere, add some romantic tunes to your playlist. You can also dim the lights and light a few candles when you sit down to eat
5. Go Hiking
If you're looking for a fun and healthy date idea, consider going hiking. Hiking is a great free activity that both of you can enjoy together. If you plan to go hiking, be sure to bring along a backpack with items that you may need, such as sunblock, sunglasses, and a first aid kit. Be sure to bring along some snacks and water for the both of you, as well.
6. Play a Game of Pool
When my husband and I were dating, playing pool was something that we did quite often. Playing pool is inexpensive. Many bowling alleys have pool tables and will allow you to rent one for about $10 an hour. You can also pay per game, which will only cost you a couple of dollars. Playing pool is also a great idea if you're planning to have a double date with some friends.
7. Go to Flea Markets
My husband and I both love going to flea markets. We have actually spent several of our dates going flea marketing. The best thing about going to flea markets is that it is cheap. The only expense that you really have is gas money. You may actually find a few bargains there that will fit into your budget.
Cheap dates can be just as fun as expensive dates. What are some cheap dates that you've been on in the past? What was your favorite thing about the date?
