Women Need More Sleep
It’s a scientific fact that women need more sleep than men on average. Our capacity to be able to multitask more efficiently during the day means that we need more energy and brain power to be able to do it, so don’t feel bad about hopping in to bed a little earlier than your BAE a few nights a week; it’s all for the good of your mind! Sometimes, just as little as 20 to 30 minutes more can make that positive difference.
Women Go to Bed Earlier
Woman are also much more likely to want to go to bed earlier in the evening compared to men. It is all down to the fact that men and woman apparently run on differently timed circadian cycles, resulting in them desiring to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier than their male partners.
Insomnia is More Common for Women
Women are more prone to experience bouts of insomnia, as because as we have learned that they actually need more sleep than men, this extreme other end of the spectrum can end up doing more physical and mental damage. On the other hand, men are slightly more likely to experience the opposite problem of sleep apnea!
Women Sleep Deeper
Contrary to the stereotypical belief that guys can sleep through things like a baby crying, it’s actually women who sleep deeper on average. Sleeping women have been proven to be more resistant to external stressors than man, so next time your man says that he didn’t get up to feed the baby in the night because he didn’t hear it, you know he’s fibbing!
