1. Passion, Passion, Passion

The best relationship you can have is with someone who’s your best friend and your lover. If you’re in a relationship that’s become sex-less, you might as well be dating just a friend. Yes, it’s that simple. Relationships need passion. They need excitement and sexiness. Having sex with your partner keeps the passion alive. It makes the relationship desirable, stimulating, and fun.

2. Stress-Free

Having sex helps relieves stress. It releases endorphins and other hormones that make you feel good. When you’re stress free and feel great, you function better.

3. Keeping the Connection Alive

Sex is something simple you can do to make yourself (and your partner!) very happy. It promotes intimacy, reassurance, and shows you both that you’re wanted and needed. It tells your partner that you can still make time for each other. Sex a form of communication. It’s a way of assuring your significant other that the love is still there and everything is okay, regardless of how stressful life becomes.

4. Sleep Tight

Sex helps you sleep better. It’s not just the fabulous romp session that makes you sleep like a baby. After sex, a chemical called oxytocin is released, which helps you sleep soundly.

If you're looking to engage your partner in intriguing conversations, why not try some hypothetical questions for couples? These fun queries will not only keep the conversation lively but also stimulate deep thoughts and potentially reveal insights about each other's personality and thought processes.

5. It Makes You Happy

People who have sex very often are generally happier than those who don’t. Having sex puts an extra pep in your step. It also boots your self-confidence and gives you a better positive attitude about yourself.

6. Keeps Your Partner Happy

When men are stressed, sex makes them feel better. It makes them feel wanted and needed. Plain and simple, having sex makes a man feel good about himself. If you’re in a sex-less relationship, your partner isn’t 100% satisfied. It’s a no-brainer that if he isn’t happy with your sex life, he’s going to start looking for sex from someone else.

Sex is the glue that’s needed in a relationship. It re-connects you and puts you in tune with your partner. Sex keeps your relationship alive. Don't you agree?

This may be true - and I appreciate your opinion but I'd like to point out that asexuals are people that aren't sexually attracted to others but may be involved romantically so sex is not necessary in a loving relationship though as you rightly said it does spice it up and can enhance it.

"It’s a no-brainer that if he isn’t happy with your sex life, he’s going to start looking for sex from someone else." Gosh, where's the trust? If that's what you think about relationships, maybe you shouldn't be in one. A man should want you for more than sex. If that's the deciding factor if your relationship, then good luck..

    @Olivia, I think once you're 18+ you're a woman.

This article implies that sex is something fun that spice up a relationship and if you are in a sexless relationship, you might as well just date a friend. It's not a necessity.

Maybe this should be renamed 6 reasons for having a healthy sex life. As we know one does not need to be in a relationship to have sex, and some people in relationships choose to delay it or not have it at all. There are other ways to satisfy a partner physically besides actual intercourse. And yes I agree that sex is not the be all, end all. But unfortunately there are some people in relationships that put more value on it than other things and will seek it elsewhere if they aren't satisfied.

Most of this I did not agree with. This was quite odd to read. Sex is something extremely personal and doesn't need to be defined as any more important than what constitutes a relationship. This is basically saying that a relationship is nothing without sex. So wrong.

What a bunch of uptight women. Get a clue. Sex matters. Get laid.

Anyone that talks about young girls being influenced by this is stupid. For one no one of an age younger 18 should even be having sex in the first place. Regardless of whether their reading this or not. And 2. At an age like that, sex shouldn't even be considered. I totally agree with this article, sex is extremely important. It is human nature to seek pleasure and to prohibit this is actually wrong. In a relationship, it can definitely make it a hell of a lot better, it makes you and your partner more than just 'friends' because you've found intimacy and a connection that you don't have with anyone else. It may not be the be all and end all but it is definitely one of the most important parts in a relationship

I think sex is disgusting and weird. What's so "exciting" about a man shoving his penis into a womans vigina? It's disgusting.
