You deserve love, because you'll appreciate being appreciated. Once you've been through heartache, you realize just how difficult it can be to find someone who truly loves you. When you find that person, your past experiences will make your present situation even sweeter. You can't feel happiness without knowing what sadness feels like, so your past pain will help you appreciate whatever love you receive in the future.

It'll be easier to accept the love of others once you learn how to love yourself. You might not realize how great you are, because you're too focused on your flaws and problems, but you're actually amazing! Think of all of the great things you've accomplished in life. Think of all of the smiles you've made happen and all of the laughter that was caused by you. You're fantastic, so don't let anyone convince you otherwise!
