Silly Questions to Ask Your Significant Other Just for Fun ...

Part of any good relationship is being able to have fun with one another. You can do the obvious things like go to the movies, out to eat or play Frisbee in the park with friends. However, if you want to stay in and still get silly, asking each other questions is the way to go. Not only will you learn fun new things about each other, but you’ll further build the bond you’ve created. Here are some great ones to get you both started. Have fun!

1 What Foods Can’t You Eat Because You Puked Them?

For the longest time, this was eggs for me. I still can’t eat candy canes after getting sick in junior high and throwing one up. Not only will this get both of you laughing, but it gives you a great opportunity to share stories from before you were together or that you may not already know about each other. Fun!

Frequently asked questions

2 If You Could Punch One Person, without Consequences, Who Would It Be?

Just the question itself is making you laugh, isn’t it? We all have that one person that we have to refrain from socking in the throat, right? Or maybe it’s someone you’ve never met, but who is on television or the radio. You’ll both be laughing really hard when you answer this question for each other.

3 What Was Your Worst Childhood Injury?

As well all know, the worst injuries usually happen when you’re doing something fun. Chances are you don’t know what each other’s worst injury was as a kid so this question is another opportunity to learn something new about the one you love, while also getting to laugh over the silly antics of your childhood. My worst was probably the time I slid down the side of a mountain at Girl Scout camp and tore all the skin off my shins. Ouch!

4 What Are Your Top Favorite Potato Chip Flavors?

Mine are sour cream and onion, salt and vinegar and dill pickle. These silly little questions might not seem like much, but you might surprise each other with your answers. Plus, they may lead to other topics that let you learn new things about each other and you’ll know just which kinds of chip to buy next time you’re at the grocery store.

5 What is the Scariest Nightmare You’ve Ever Had?

Sharing what scares you with someone you love lets them know that you trust them not to freak you out in the middle of the night by reenacting it. It’s funny to see what nightmare scares someone else really bad and you might think your other half’s nightmare isn’t even scary and vice versa. Now, what’s the best dream you’ve ever had?

6 If You Won the Lottery, What’s the First Thing You’d Buy?

It’s always fun to dream about the future as a couple. We all have that one thing that we could never afford, but that we’d buy immediately if we became rich. For me, that’s a Plymouth Prowler. Sharing this with each other is fun and will probably get you talking about your travel dreams and the house you’d live in if you could design it yourself.

7 Which Song Can You Not Resist Dancing to?

There’s a song for everyone that just gets your toes tapping and makes you want to get up and groove. You probably don’t know this about each other, so why not ask today? Again, the answers will probably be surprising and you’ll both know which song to pick on the jukebox next time you’re at the bar for happy hour.

8 What Was Your First Impression of Me?

This is a fun yet dangerous question to ask. If you and your special someone weren't friends at first you might not like the response, however, it's nice to reflect on how far you've come. Plus, it's always flattering if they say they thought you were attractive.

9 How do I Push Your Buttons?

This is a great question to ask if you're looking to build your relationship. You'll know what exactly it is that gets under their skin and be able to correct your bad habits. And if you're anything like me it's funny to hear what the other has to say because sometimes, let's face it, we do it intentionally!

10 What 3 Wishes Would You Make if You Had a Magic Lamp?

While fun, this question also digs deeper into who they are as a person. Would they wish for world peace? They're sensitive. Money? Could come across as shallow depending on the reasons. At any rate, this question is always a great one to think about!

Which of these questions are you going to ask your significant other today? What other questions would you add to the list?
