1. Communication
If the spark in your relationship is going then communication is key. You may find that you haven't been communicating with your signifiant other and this is one of the reasons that relationships break down. When life gets in the way and you're both so busy, it can be hard to spend time talking and bonding but it's important to make the effort to do so. Schedule time where you can talk to each other with no distractions like the TV or laptops.
2. Herbal Help
There are some herbal remedies that can help things along in the bedroom and although the jury is still out on whether they really work, you might want to try a herbal remedy. Horny Goat weed is one that has been said to restore waning libidos and there are also some foods that are believed to be aphrodisiacs. Try including bananas, chocolate, oysters and avocado in your diet.
Frequently asked questions
3. Therapy
There might be an underlying reason that needs further investigation and you may want to speak to someone qualified to investigate the cause. Speaking to someone impartial could be just what you need.
4. Quality Time
We're all so busy and it can be difficult to spend some quality time together without the kids vying for your time or work needing your attention. Set some time aside where it is just you two together: no kids, no email and no mobile phone, just you two together. Have a date night and talk about the day you first met. Studies have shown that couples who regularly talk about their first meeting are more likely to stay together than those who don't.
5. Helping Hand
Maybe you need a little help in the shape of lingerie, toys or videos. There is nothing wrong with adding a little spice and excitement in the bedroom. Keep the romance alive by taking a trip to a shop where they sell such items or look online if you're too embarrassed to venture out.
6. Romantic Break
How about a romantic break together. Book a break away to one of the many romantic locations in the world such as Paris, Bruges or a beautiful fairy-tale castle. Wherever you decide to go, it's a perfect way to put the honeymoon back into your relationship.
7. Think It over
When you have tried everything to rescue your relationship, there may come a point where you need to examine whether it is time to leave the relationship. This can be the most difficult thing to come to terms with and is obviously the last resort but if you don't feel the same way about your partner as you did, the kindest thing for you both is to say goodbye.
These are some of the ways to put the passion back into your relationship. Can you think of any more ways?
