Anonymous: Silly, silly. Instead of wasting energy trying to make others jealous, maybe just live your life and try to be happy. Or, at the very least, try not to act like the stereotypical female. It gives us a bad name.

Anonymous: this one may sound a little counter intuitive, but I've actually found that having ZERO contact with the guy for a little while can really drive him absolutely nutty. If you don't want him back, it'll totally drive him up a wall not talking to or hearing anything about you (good or bad), and if you DO want him back, it'll make him realize how bad your absence is. If you give it a couple weeks without posting about your life or texting him at all and then eventually go out of your way to ask how he's doing, that works every time in my experience. just don't wait TOO long if you really want him back! try not to talk about him unless it's with your very closest friends who you trust not to blab. He WILL ask around if you've said anything about him, and it always ruins that veil of non contact if he hears that you have been. also, heather, could you do an article on how to deal with a guy you actually don't want back but you also don't want to make him jealous? I just went through that type of breakup earlier this year and the aftermath was pretty hellish for a while haha basically tried dating a close guy friend and I decided it wasn't working out, he had stronger feelings and ended up heartbroken and VERY bitter. dealing with that was a real learning experience. thanks girl! and keep up the good work.
Anonymous: Hehehe, this one is a bit risky, but it worked for me (: so you've been texting back and forth, he's texting straight back, you leaving a few minutes between, and you can tell he is trying to get you to want him back and then he blows it all with one badly timed text, so you stop texting completely. Later that day, you see him coming down the street, and he sees you. You make eye contact for a second, then turn around and walk the other way (:
