Here's why timescales should not influence your relationship. There are so many societal stereotypes about when is the right time to do things in a relationship - right from the beginning you’re told don’t kiss on the first date, don’t sleep with them until the fifth date…it’s just crazy. You shouldn’t move at a pace that suits society, you should move at one that suits you. Here’s why timescales should not influence your relationship.

1. Everyone is Different
One of the primary reasons why timescales should not influence your relationship is that each one is different. No relationship is the same, and so you can’t expect to do things at the same time as other people. You need to think about what’s best for your relationship and accept that comparing yourself with others isn’t necessary.
2. No One else Knows Your Relationship
At the end of the day, it’s just the two of you in your relationship. People may be able to observe your dynamic from an outside perspective, but they can’t see into your hearts and minds – only you know when it’s the right time to do things.
3. Who Cares What People Think?
We can spend so much time worrying about what people think or whether they’ll judge us, but this is your life! If people think you’re moving too slow or too fast – who cares?! You should do what makes you happy.
4. It’s about What Feels Right
You know when something feels right, you just do. People have moved in together after a matter of weeks which seems insane but they’ve made it work and they’re happy. If something feels right, don’t not do it just because you’re thinking about standard timescales.
If you're looking to engage your partner in intriguing conversations, why not try some hypothetical questions for couples? These fun queries will not only keep the conversation lively but also stimulate deep thoughts and potentially reveal insights about each other's personality and thought processes.
5. Time is Just a Number
Two weeks, two months, two years…it doesn’t mean the world. Time is a number, but your feelings are the most important factor in all of this. Go with your heart, not the clock.
