1. Destroys Trust
The second you get caught snooping (and you probably will get caught), all of the trust that you will have built up with your boo will be gone. Your relationship will be knocked back a significant amount, and rather than moving forward in a positive fashion, you have to go back and try to build up from the ground floor all over again. That is, of course, if they even want to stay with you! This is one of the dangers of snooping in your relationship that you should really be worried about.
2. Unpleasant Discoveries
Be careful what you wish for because the fact of the matter is that you might find something that you don’t like at all! This doesn’t necessarily have to be a big thing like discovering cheating, but you might come across something that your partner doesn’t want to share with you or just something that turns you off, and then what do you do with that information?
Frequently asked questions
3. It Reflects Negatively
What does it say about you as a person if you are willing to breach the trust and violate the personal space of someone who you hold near and dear to your heart? If the first thing that comes into your mind is snooping through the privacy of your new boo, then there is probably something deep within you that needs to be addressed in order for you to move forward and enjoy a healthier romantic life.
4. No Excuses
Once you have been caught, there is no real way to talk your way out of the situation. In this day and age, there is no such thing as accidentally opening a text or accidentally scanning through your Instagram DMs. Once you have been caught, no satisfactory excuses can be made, and you will be regarded as a sneaky snooper from that day forward!
5. Self Sabotage
Could it be that you are starting to snoop on your partner in this way because subconsciously you are looking for a way to disrupt and end the relationship? This kind of self-sabotage is never a good look, and rather than stooping to this low and embarrassing yourself, you should probably try to think about why exactly you want the relationship to end in the first place. There are much more mature ways to end things than searching through texts to find a secret.
