Break ups can be hard enough, but a college break up is a unique situation because you are stuck on the same college campus as your ex. 1

Go out with Your Girls

What better way to get over a college break up than by having a girls' night out? Dancing to your favorite music with your favorite girls is the perfect thing to take your mind off of your past. Your girls are just what you need to remind you that being single isn’t the worst thing in the world.

2

Focus on Schoolwork

Think of all the time you wasted on your boyfriend that you could have spent working on your grades. Post break up is the perfect time to divert your attention to your schoolwork. You will be able to take your mind off the break up, and still feel like you are being productive.

3

Spend Some Alone Time

It is perfectly acceptable to spend the night alone snuggled up with Netflix in college, and even more acceptable to use the alone time to get over your break up. Take some time to focus on yourself and do something for you for the first time.

4

Find a New Spot

Your small college campus can feel even smaller when you frequent all of the places you and your beau used to go on date night. When your favorite restaurants, study spots, and nighttime hot spots have all been tarnished, it is time to find your new favorite places on campus. Going to all of your old spots will just be a reminder of your past relationship.

5

Rebound

I never promote promiscuous sex, but if you need to get your mind off of your college break up, why not make out with a cute guy at a bar? A rebound might be exactly what you need to finalize your acceptance of your break up. And I know of more than a few girls who met their current boyfriends when trying to rebound from their exes.

Famous Quotes

To give oneself earnestly to the duties due to men, and, while respecting spiritual beings, to keep aloof from them, may be called wisdom.

Realize You Are Still Young

There are some people who think that they have to meet their soul mates in college. Those people would be wrong. College is a time to find out who you are and grow as a person. Each guy you date in college will not necessarily be the man you end up with. As soon as you realize there are plenty of other fish in the sea, you will be much better at getting over your break up.

7

Unfollow Him

The last thing you need when dealing with a college break up is to see his life all over your newsfeed. Unfollow him on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and all other social media sites. It will stop you from constantly checking up on his life. He will be out of sight and out of mind.

Most of us will experience at least one college break up during our time at school. They can be hard, but there is also a lot to learn from a break up. What did you think of these ways to get over a college break up? What are some ways you got over your college break up?
