1. Small Steps

The very first thing to know about how to deal with being single is baby steps. You aren't going to immediately get over your ex or immediately adapt to being without someone. It'll take some time and you've got to allow yourself that time. If you don't, it'll be bad in the future and you'll never learn how to deal with being on your own.

2. Don't Hurry into Another Relationship

A lot of the time, when a relationship ends, you feel the need to start up another one immediately. Girls, that doesn't always have to be the case. In fact, I suggest that you learn how to deal with being single instead of just jumping right into another rebound relationship that you'll constantly compare to your last relationship. Give yourself some time to adjust to being single!

3. Find Yourself

Sometimes, when you are in a relationship, you can actually lose yourself. That means that you've become so involved in your relationship, you don't quite know exactly who you are anymore. It happens to a lot of people, not just you. If that relationship does end, it's a time for you to find yourself. It's a time for you to really, truly find out who you are.

4. Girls Nights

When you are trying to learn how to deal with being single, you're going to want to lean on your friends. What that means is that you'll have to start having more and more girls' nights! These nights will get you out of your house, will stop you from dwelling on being single and will help you bond with your BFFs!

5. You Aren't Alone

One of the biggest obstacles that you've got to overcome when you are learning how to deal with being single is realizing that you are not alone. What this means is that everyone has been there at some point in their lives. There are tons of different support groups out there if you are having a really hard time coming to terms with being on your own again.

6. Take Advantage of Your Freedom

When you are with someone, you don't typically have a whole lot of freedom to do anything and everything that you want. When you are single, you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. So girls, why not learn how to deal with being single by taking advantage of your freedom? Go on vacation, don't worry about anyone but you!

7. Enjoy Your Independence

With your freedom comes a lot of independence. It's a great way to really make yourself stronger as a person and to truly allow yourself to push your own limits. When I was single, I had to learn how I was going to pay the bills, clean the house and juggle everything. It made me a stronger person overall!

8. You Now Have Time

Finally, the last thing that you'll learn when you are learning how to deal with being single is that you have time. You have time to do whatever you want, whenever you want to do it and no matter what it is. It's honestly one of the best things in the world to not have to worry about your time.

Whether you are trying to learn how to deal with being single because it's new or it's old, these tips for being on your own! So girls, what other tips do you have when you were learning how to be single again?
