Although I'm now in a dream of a relationship, I've dealt with more than a few breakups in my time. Some of them were amicable and some of them were nightmares. They were awful, painful, and the heartbreak was seemingly endless. You know how that feels, right? Getting past a relationship once it has ended can be incredibly hard – but there are things you can do to make it go more smoothly. One way to move past a breakup, particularly when it's bad, is to just move on. Don't try any of that “let's still be friends” stuff. Sometimes, that's just not a good idea. Last but most definitely not least, you need your friends after a breakup. Let your current friends help you, whether it's by letting you vent or keeping you distracted. You should also look for some new friends. Keep your family close, as well. When you're surrounded by that much love, you aren't going to miss what you've lost quite as much.
