1. Everything is Planned
Sometimes it can be easy to get into a routine of when you’re going to be intimate with your partner. But if you always have to do it at the same time, same day, same place, then there might be a lack of chemistry. I find it’s a good sign when it comes unexpectedly from time to time. Spontaneity is healthy and fun in a compatible relationship.
2. There’s Pressure
In a mutually respectful and compatible relationship, there should never be any pressure to have sex. Have sex because you genuinely want to. We find that if there is always a constant nagging or push from the other person then the compatibility may be off. Maybe we don’t have the same desires as they do, or the same drive, and that causes a problem.
Frequently asked questions
3. Lack of Attraction
This sounds bad, but a general attraction does make for better sex. It can be easy to get caught up in the heat of a moment, but after a while, this can fade. I’ve found that when it does, if I don’t find them as attractive as I once did, then being intimate in the future is increasingly hard. This goes for more than just appearance, too. Finding someone emotionally attractive is just as important.
4. Refusing to Be Safe
Red flag here – if your sexual partner argues with you about using protection during sex, then they are not compatible with you, period. A person having sex with you should be concerned about being safe and making you comfortable. We don’t like excuses about why they can’t use condoms. We don’t accept it. We move on, and if this is the case, you should too!
5. You Have Different Tastes
There actually is a lot of variation when it comes to the style of sex that people have. We do think there should be some compromise when it comes to what happens in the bedroom. If your partner isn’t willing to try a few things to please you and what you desire, then you might not be compatible. We all have an idea of what we’d like, and if you can’t meet halfway on occasion, you’ll probably not be totally fulfilled.
6. Selfishness
Sadly, some sexual relationships end up being more taking and less giving. While it can be fun to give your attention to someone, you should be receiving it back at some point. It can get tiring to be the only one putting in all the work – it should be a team effort that allows you both to reach maximum pleasure.
7. Comparing
Under no circumstance should past relationships or partners be brought into a current sexual relationship. If I’m spending time with a person in an intimate way, it’s supposed to be about us two. If you find your partner is making comparisons to past lovers, then it’s a sure sign of incompatibility. You deserve better!
These are just a few of the signals of sexual incompatibility that we’ve discovered. The main point is that communication in a sexual relationship is key, and it can solve 99% of any problems you might be having! Let us know what you thought, and thanks for reading.
