I'm going to share with you some ways to love those with an Acts of Service Love Language. Loving your partner is easy, but loving your partner in a way that he/she feels loved is a little trickier. Dr. Gary Chapman developed the 5 love languages so that people could improve their love lives. These languages are categorized in ways that every person expresses and receives love: Physical Touch, Quality Time, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, and Words of Affirmation. Communicating our love language will help us know what we expect from a love pairing and what our partner can do to make us feel secure in love. The Acts of Service love language symbolizes that this individual feels the most loved and expresses their love by doing things that will improve their partner’s life. Here are 7 ways to love those with an Acts of Service Love Language.

1. Pick up His Prescription
Your partner is sick or has a monthly contact prescription that he does not have the time to fill. Without telling him, go pick it up yourself and surprise your partner with the prescription. This shows you care and understand that your partnership means working together to excel. This is one of the best ways to love those with an Acts of Service Love Language.
2. Cook a Meal
Surprise your partner after work or on a lazy Sunday in bed with a meal of his favorites. Relieving your partner from the responsibility of finding his own meal will make him feel loved and secure. If you are in a long distance relationship use Grubhub, and if you don’t cook pick up his favorite takeout.
Frequently asked questions
3. Fold His Laundry
Laundry is never fun. While your partner is in the shower, watching his favorite show, or playing a video game, take the time to put away his laundry and watch the expression on his face when they notice you performed this service.
4. Clean off the Snow on His Car
Winters are brutal and the cold sucks, especially in the morning. Make your partner feel loved and protected by cleaning the snow off his car before his morning commute.
5. Make Him Coffee
Like we said, mornings suck. Caffeine is the best. So make him coffee and give it to him when he wakes up. This allows your partner to feel loved and to wake up on the right side of the bed.
6. Warm up a Towel
Your partner is in the shower, and instead of playing a prank and dumping cold water on him, warm up a towel in the dryer so that when he exits the shower he feels comforted by your love and a fuzzy warm blanket.
7. Pack Sunscreen for a Day at the Beach
Packing something that your partner needs for a day out or a night on the town will signify that you think of his needs and will be an act of service that will make your partner feel cared for.
8. Take out the Garbage
Simple things are the most appreciated. If you take out the garbage, your partner will realize that you will do things to help promote a great home for the pair of you. This smelly small act allows your partner to feel secure that your love will last.
As mentioned in the introduction, there are 5 love languages. If you have identified your partner's love language type and want to learn how to make your relationship even more special please read the other articles:
