1. IT'S OK to TAKE a BREAK
Dating is very intense and time-consuming so if you're feeling a bit worn out by it then it's totally ok to take a break. Delete your dating apps for a few weeks and enjoy having some time to yourself without the stress of organising dates.
2. YOU DON'T HAVE to SETTLE
If you're sick and tired of dating, don't just decide to settle for someone you aren't into just so you can be in a relationship and quit the dating scene. In the end it won't make you happy and you’ll end up back at square one anyway.
3. THESE THINGS TAKE TIME
As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day! To find the right person for you does take time and although you may be sick of dating and your dates might not be working out, remember that you're always getting one step closer to finding 'The One'.
4. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG with YOU
Don't think that the reason you're struggling with dating is that there's something wrong with you. To some degree everyone has a type, and just because you aren't one person's it doesn't mean you aren't another's – you just have to find the right person for you.
If you're looking to engage your partner in intriguing conversations, why not try some hypothetical questions for couples? These fun queries will not only keep the conversation lively but also stimulate deep thoughts and potentially reveal insights about each other's personality and thought processes.
5. A RELATIONSHIP DOESN'T DEFINE WHO YOU ARE
You're dating because you want a relationship, right? But a relationship shouldn't define you. If you're feeling seriously down about dating, maybe it's a sign that you shouldn't be investing yourself so heavily - just try and enjoy the process rather than putting too much pressure on yourself.
6. THERE ARE OTHER THINGS YOU CAN FOCUS on
Your life is so full of other things - your job, school, friends & family etc. Focus on those things and they'll give you the pick-me-up you need to feel better about dating again. You may even find that with all these things going on in your life that you’re content being single for a while longer.
7. THERE is SOMEONE out THERE for YOU
I know it's a cliché, but they do say that there's someone out there for everyone - you just haven't found them yet! Don't lose hope and think you'll never succeed at dating and you'll be alone forever because it's not the case - you will get your happy ending!
Try and keep a positive mindset and before you know it, you'll have found Mr/Mrs Right!
