7 Tips for Meeting Online Boyfriend in Real Life ...

Meeting an online boyfriend in real life can be pretty scary in the beginning, especially if you don't know exactly what you are getting yourself into. I know when I met my partner in real life, I was so nervous and I had no idea exactly what to expect! If you are looking at meeting an online boyfriend in real life take a look at my tips, to make sure that the entire dates goes well and that you are ready! Remember, don't pressure to meet him, get to know him first!

1 Don't Make It Awkward

The very first tip that I have for meeting an online boyfriend in real life is all about not making it awkward. If you've been talking for a while, why should the sparks change? Unless you've been catfished, it shouldn't be too awkward in the beginning and should be really quite smooth. My first meeting with my girlfriend wasn't awkward at all because the feelings were mutual and now we've been together for almost 7 years!

2 Remember Your Conversations

While it might be a little weird to be talking in person, you always want to remember any of the conversations that you've had with your boyfriend when you meet him in real life. That way, things won't be so weird and won't be so awkward (try to keep the awkwardness to a minimum!). You've known this person for a while, you should be able to talk to them about things you've talked about on the phone or internet.

3 Don't Move Too Fast

Just because you've been texting or talking on the phone back and forth doesn't mean that you want to immediately jump into sex or even making out. It took me a while before I even held onto my partner's hand when we finally met, so just take it slow. You don't have to jump into anything because you've had conversations about it.

4 Treat It as Your First Date

A good rule of thumb when you are meeting your online boyfriend in real life for the first time is to treat it like it is your first date. After all, it kind of is, right? You are meeting each other for the very first time. It can be difficult, even after knowing all of the conversations you've had actually getting to know them in person.

5 Calm, Cool, Collected

Stay calm, cool and collected when you first meet your boyfriend, after all, you've been talking to him for a while, right? No reason to be nervous. Easier said than done, right? Well, just try to pull yourself together and really remember, the feelings should still be the same!

6 Public Place

Even though you think you know this person, always meet them for the first time in a public place. That way you both know that nothing is going to happen and that people will be able to see you. If possible, take someone with you, just so that you're able to be completely safe.

7 Be Ready

Finally, make sure that you are ready! Never, ever meet someone in person if you aren't ready. The meeting will be awkward, weird and it could end up bad, all because you weren't ready to meet them.

missmawu Idunno if he's my bf or what. We didn't make a label of what we have. But we've been calling/chatting for almost 8mos now and it's constant. He told me that if we're in the same place, he would definitely date me. And I feel the same way about him. We don't even date yet but we call each other boo boo already. He inspires me and I know he feels the same way about me too. It's just the distance that's making it hard. But I'm planning on visiting him in the US. Raine My boyfriend and I met in person a year after we first started talking on YouTube. :) I drove about 750 miles (Chicago to Washington D.C.) to see him and it was so worth it! We've been together for about 2.5 years now and we are so in love! We were both very nervous during our first date, but we quickly warmed up to each other and we could just tell that we really had something special. The chemistry between us was just so strong! He and I don't get to see each other very often (maybe every 2-4 months), but we're both convinced that we are soulmates (neither of us believed in that notion before). :)
