5. Remember That It's Not All about You

We can be rather selfish in relationships and see ourselves as the priority.

But remember that it's not all about you.

His feelings and thoughts count as well.

Sometimes it's only fair to let him follow his own path, so if you're getting cross with him because he wants to do something you're not happy with remind yourself that there are two people in the relationship.2

I need an advice over on thing. My boyfriend and I were in a proud relationship but because of few disagreements we chose to be on a break. It has been a month and we haven't talked to each other. Whenever I see him, I just try to ignore him and walk away. I don't even know about his reactions. For his birthday gift, I wrote a novel on him and accidentally this surprise got leaked but still I really wish him to read this novel. I'm even eager to get it printed. But I seriously can't afford to loose him, so should I gift this novel to him or not?

The only way any relationship can get over the rough patches is when both partners are patient and understanding. Demanding that your SO does the things in this article first is counterproductive. That being said, if your SO is incapable of doing any of these things, your relationship might be worth reconsidering.

My boyfriend and i both do this. Its not a one way street. We both put in the effort because thats the only way this relationship will work.
